I love deeply and I care deeply (cue the enneagram 2w3). I love my people fiercely and my favorite thing to do is to be surrounded by them.

Being such an extrovert, exploring comes naturally. I’m always talking, reading, listening, learning, teaching, taking apart, and putting back together. If I don’t know how to do it, I’ll eventually figure it out. My favorite thing to say as a designer is “It’s not good design if it doesn’t evolve.” We were all meant to change, to grow, to pursue. Why not refine as we do it?

graphic designer + illustrator

Most of this site is compiled of the photography I shoot for friends and family. But there’s another part of me as well… I’m also a graphic designer. My first love is print media… think magazines and books. Layout design is fluid and similar to dance with different combinations of type, image, and information. The personal art I create outside of a full-time job and photography is my heart’s expression. I love exploring new mediums in embroidery, pencil sketching, painting, and digital illustration.

What do I want to be when I grow up?
A published children’s book author and illustrator is pretty high on that list of loves. Or traveling the world photographing people in other cultures. Or being a combination sous chef/master food photographer.
